I started my nursing career working with women and children as a Registered Nurse in labor and delivery, mother/baby and newborn intensive care (NICU). Subsequently, I earned my Master’s degree in Nursing at Brigham Young University. I currently focus on women’s health issues, because when a woman feels healthy, strong, and confident, her family and the whole community benefit because of it!

It is very rewarding to counsel with women and give them the information and power to make positive changes in their life, be it weight loss, improving relationships with their spouse or children, managing stress better or helping them understand a disease process that they’ve had all their life but never really understood.  I love wellness exams because I’m such an advocate of education. Some women are very familiar with their body, how it works, how it responds to diet, exercise, disease, etc. -- but some women have no idea.  To me, knowledge is power.  I believe women need to be properly educated so that they can make informed decisions about their own health.
