Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to geriatric care and psychiatry, discovering a deep passion for preventive health and general care over the past three years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Currently, I practice in family medicine with a strong emphasis on promoting good mental health practices and treatments.
I am particularly passionate about mental health diagnosis and treatment, which has been greatly informed by my experience at Utah State Hospital. There, I assisted in managing some of the most complex mental health conditions in the state, an experience that deeply shaped my approach to patient care. Having personally encountered mental health crises; I empathize with patients who are struggling to navigate challenging life circumstances. I am committed to helping my patients explore and enhance their coping mechanisms for stress, anxiety, worry, and fear. My goal is to empower them to develop new strategies for managing their current life situations. While a simple medication change may not drastically alter a patient’s circumstances, it can provide the insight, judgment, and tools needed to cope more effectively. Looking ahead, I plan to further specialize in psychiatry and mental health to deepen my expertise in this critical area.
