The majority of my professional experience has been in family medicine but my passion and focus has always been in women’s health.

It has been a joy and privilege to experience stages of womanhood alongside my patients over the years.

I strive to create a safe, open space for my patients to feel comfortable talking about even the most “taboo” topics relating to moods, bodies, and sexuality throughout the lifespan. I understand that gynecological care at times can seem frightening or intimidating to some women. I strive to be sensitive to patients’ varying experiences, listening carefully, addressing concerns and doing what I can to minimize discomfort. I recognize that what we do is deeply personal and it is crucial to be sensitive, empathetic and deserving of this privilege.

My approach to patient care is above all to LISTEN to my patients with a non-judgmental attitude and seek to understand their needs. I strive to offer my expertise as a partner, empowering patients to make informed decisions regarding their own care.

In college I spent a number of years volunteering with Planned Parenthood of Utah--not only in their health clinics, but also in community outreach. I enjoyed teaching age-appropriate sex education in local schools and continue to believe that more knowledge is healthy and empowering.

I have four young children who keep me busy! They also help me practice my “poker face” with their endless questions about puberty and everything else!

Free time is rare to come by, but I enjoy yoga, reading, thrifting, trying to catch up to my kids skiing, and playing catch with my budding little baseball players.
