I believe that the first step in achieving optimal health is through education. My goal is to educate my patients on the importance of daily habits and lifestyle changes that prevent illness and chronic disease from living happy and fulfilling lives.
I started my nursing career working in the Neuro Shock Trauma ICU for about five years. I loved caring for the critically ill but always had a passion for preventative care. Working in the ICU was exciting and kept me on my toes, but I felt limited in what I could do for my patients and was always left wondering how I could help prevent patients from getting to the point they had with their health. So I decided to go back to school to expand my knowledge and abilities. During Nurse Practitioner school, I had the excellent opportunity to do rotations at Canyon View Family Medicine. I fell in love with the community of patients and the culture of this organization.
I am originally from Bakersfield, California, but I spent many summers in the Utah mountains. Growing up in a busy household with four brothers and three sisters, I was always involved in many sports, which led my migration to Utah after high school to play college volleyball. I am married and have a spunky five-year-old and one on the way. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, son, and dog, playing volleyball, hiking, swimming, and traveling.
I love helping people find solutions to their ailments and achieve optimal health. I am grateful to be part of Canyon View and am excited to know the wonderful patients in Springville and Mapleton!
